What to expect from an in-home massage
If you’ve only ever had a massage at a spa or clinic, having a therapist come to your home might sound unfamiliar. It’s actually one of the most relaxing ways to do it — no driving, no waiting room, and you get to settle into your own space afterward. Here’s exactly how it works.
Why in-home is so convenient
The best part of mobile massage is what happens after the session: instead of getting dressed and driving home while you’re loose and relaxed, you’re already there. No traffic, no rushing, no undoing the calm you just earned. You just rest. For a lot of my clients, that alone makes it worth it.
What I bring
Everything. You don’t need to own or prepare a single piece of equipment. I bring:
- A professional massage table
- A table warmer and fresh, clean linens
- All oils and supplies
- Any tools for the session — cupping, stretching, and so on
You provide the space; I provide the rest.
What you’ll need on your end
Very little:
- A bit of room — enough to set up the table with space to walk around it, roughly the footprint of a small bedroom or an open living-room area.
- A power outlet nearby for the table warmer and my speaker.
- A parking spot somewhere close to your place.
That’s genuinely it. We’ll find the right spot together when I arrive.
How a session flows
- A quick conversation. When I arrive, we’ll talk briefly about what you’re looking for, any problem areas, and your goals for the session. This is where the clinical part starts — I’m listening for what’s actually going on.
- Setup. I set up the table and get everything ready while you get comfortable.
- The session. I tailor the work to what your body needs that day — from focused injury work to a full recovery flush.
- Booking and payment. These run through my Jane page, so there’s nothing awkward to handle at the door.
Your comfort and privacy
You’re always in control. You undress only to your comfort level, you’re properly draped the whole time, and you can speak up at any point about pressure, areas to focus on, or anything else. It’s your session.
Where I travel
I’m based in Reading and cover the surrounding Berks County area. Travel is free within 15 miles, with a small fee beyond that — and any travel fee is confirmed when you book, so there are never surprises at the door.
That’s the whole experience: you clear a little space, and I handle everything else. If that sounds like the easiest good decision you’ll make this week, book a session and I’ll come to you.
